Just one week after the Barcelona win in 1965 Degens on Syd Lawtons Triumph, partners by Syd's son Barry, on his way to winning Castle Comb 500 mile race.
After winning the 1970 Barcelona 24 Horas, on the Dresda framed Triumph. Left to right- Phil Stentiford (mechanic), Ian Goddard ( co rider) and Dave Degens
In its last top class race Dave Degen's keeps Tom Arters AJS porcupine on the inside of Rex Butcher, Dave would have won if the gear lever had not fallen off and force him to retire at this race at Brands Hatch
